Chinese Language Edition of Commercial
News USA Will Help U.S. Exporters Sell
Products and Services in China

Duraclean International, a U.S. franchisor, is one of a growing number of American companies that have successfully set up shop in China.
For many U.S. companies one of the most cost effective ways to gain exposure in the Chinese market is Commercial News USA, the Commerce Department's official export promotion magazine.
Now, Commercial News USA is being translated into Chinese for distribution in China. The May/June issue already has been translated and the upcoming September/October issue also will be translated. Both issues will be mailed to 10,000 Chinese business executives and policymakers, and will be distributed at industry trade shows throughout China. The Chinese language version of the magazine is also available online at www.export.gov/cnusa
Commercial News USA, a 27-year-old magazine that helps U.S. exporters find new markets, is a proven tool for finding new business partners around the world. After seeing Duraclean's ad in the magazine, Shoufang Hua, owner of Qingdao Sen Industrial Company Ltd. in Qingdao, China, contacted the U.S. company about a franchise license for China.
After reading an ad in Commercial News USA, Mr. Hua sent three representatives to the 2003 International Franchise Expo as part of an International Buyer Program delegation from China. They met with Vince Caffarello, president of Duraclean, and went on to visit the company's Chicago headquarters. A few months later, Mr. Hua signed a master franchise agreement with Duraclean.
The result: Qingdao Sen Industrial Company is now a successful Duraclean Master Franchisee, with substantial revenue and a steady return on investment.
Duraclean International Inc. is an Illinois-based multi-service international franchisor that specializes in scheduled commercial cleaning plus the environmental cleaning of ventilation ducting.
As Qingdao's experience demonstrates, Commercial News USA offers an unparalleled opportunity for businesses around the world to identify partners from the United States.
"Commercial News USA reaches an estimated 400,000 readers in 145 countries around the world," says Gregory Sandler, publisher of the magazine. "It is designed to help small- and medium-sized American companies find international agents, distributors and buyers. The Chinese language edition will help U.S. exporters enter one of the world's fastest growing consumer and business markets."
Commercial News USA has been the official export promotion magazine of the Commerce Department since it was launched in 1978. The magazine is published by ThinkGlobal Inc., which also publishes the ThinkGlobal International Trade newsfolios.
According to the Commerce Department, in 2003, the magazine generated 872 successful export transactions resulting in more than $109 million in sales.
Moreover, last year, the U.S. Commercial Service, part of the Commerce Department, facilitated more than $23 billion in U.S. exports, and conducted nearly 150,000 counseling sessions with American companies.

More information about Commercial News USA is available online at www.export.gov/cnusa or by calling 1-800-581-8533.
