12-16 The U.S. Commercial Service will sponsor a Healthcare Technologies Trade Mission to Australia and New Zealand. It will consist of pre-set appointments, breakfast briefings by post staff and industry representatives, and networking opportunities for the participants. The mission will have a health-IT focus, but companies with other types of medical/healthcare products and services that have strong potential for these markets will also be welcomed. This mission will include stops in Sydney and Melbourne, Australia and Auckland, New Zealand. 25-28 The American Public Transportation Association will present the International Public Transportation Expo in Dallas. The U.S. Department of Commerce will sponsor an Environmental Technologies Trade Mission to Central Europe which will visit Warsaw, Poland; Budapest, Hungary; and Prague, the Czech Republic. Together, these countries are investing more than $150 billion to update water and air pollution controls, wastewater treatment, recycling facilities, and other environmental technologies to achieve European Union standards.
