The World Economic Forum consists of a global community of business,
OECD Promotes Market Economies The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) covers economic and social issues from macroeconomics to trade, education, development and science and fosters good governance in the public and corporate sectors by encouraging responsiveness in key economic areas. By identifying policies that work, the organization helps policy-makers adopt strategic orientations and produces internationally agreed instruments, decisions and recommendations. More information is available at www.oecd.org BASC Anti-Smuggling The World BASC Organization (Business Anti-Smuggling Association) is a non-profit organization that facilitates efficient international trade by establishing and administering global safety standards and procedures applied to international supply chains. BASC consists of independent national and regional chapters recognized by the WBO that agree to comply with its policies. Current members include Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Mexico, Panama, Peru, the U.S. and Venezuela. Its objectives include creating and managing global supply chain security standards, creating and maintaining an information exchange system, and promoting cooperative agreements between BASC chapters and foreign governments. The organizations' mission, chapters list, standards and other information are available at www.wbasco.org Pacific Economic Cooperation Council The Pacific Economic Cooperation Council (PECC) is a partnership of business and industry, government, academic and intellectual individuals and organizations that serves as a regional forum for cooperation and policy coordination to promote economic development in the Asia-Pacific region. Established in 1980, PECC includes 25 member committees. Its work aims for better cooperation and policy coordination in areas including trade, investment, finance, and human resources and all major industrial sectors.
