USCIB Promotes U.S. Views and Policy
The United States Council for International Business works to provide access to world markets for U.S. products. As the U.S. affiliate of the International Chamber of Commerce, the USCIB supports U.S. views and solutions on business


issues such as the environment, e-commerce, and labor relations. The council takes policy positions, supports more than 50 trade committees, and provides business services to members, such as access to integrated trade directories and dispute resolution through the ICC. It also issues ATA Carnet documents enabling temporary duty-free import of commercial samples, professional equipment and goods for exhibitions or trade shows in more than 75 countries. ExPA: The Export Process Assistant
The Export Process Assistant (ExPA) - developed by the Center for Information Technologies in Management and Center for International Education and Research (CIBER) at Ohio State University's Fisher College of Business - offers resources for small and medium - sized firms planning to begin exporting. This electronic guide - helps educate users on the export process. It also can help businesses and individuals understand the complexities of the export market, and the domestic and foreign issues that exporters face. For those firms that are currently exporting, ExPA can be used as a training tool, both for new employees and as a refresher course. UNCTAD Data on Developing Countries
The focus of The United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) is on integrating developing countries into the world economy. UNCTAD conducts research and collects data on trade and development for UN and government policymakers and provides technical assistance in areas of finance, technology, investment and sustainable development to member countries. A list of members, summaries of major issues addressed, research data and detailed reports are posted at www.unctad.org

ICC Supports Market Economies
The International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) has promoted market economies and open international trade since 1919. The ICC is involved in policymaking and standard-setting, advocacy, education and cooperative work with international organizations such as the UN and the WTO, and with governments. Export-Import Bank of the U.S
. U.S. exporters can finance export activity through the Export-Import Bank of the U.S., the official export credit agency of the U.S. The bank provides pre- and post-


export loans underwritten by commercial banks and guaranteed by the Export-Import Bank, credit insurance, loans to international buyers of U.S. products, and special incentives for small businesses, for exports to Africa, for environmentally friendly products, and for underserved exporters.
